If you would like to submit your photograph (one per month), please send your name, image, where the image was taken and title (not required) to: photos@virginiainteractive.org. 

Guidelines:
The subject matter must be taken within the State of Virginia. Thereby we must limit the images to these specific categories (Nature, Wildlife, Plant life, Structures and Buildings). The image must be in either a jpeg or a gif file format (.jpg or .gif). The size of the file must be under 75KB in actual size. The dimensions must be no larger than than 600 pixels wide by 550 pixels high. Animated gifs are not accepted. Virginia.gov reserves the right to choose to post or not post your submissions. Virginia.gov also reserves the right to not notify the sender that the sent photograph did or did not get submitted.

Although this is not a photo contest, recognition is given by posting your image in either the "This Months Submissions" area or the "Picture of the Month" area. The chosen "Picture of the Month" is determined solely by Virginia.gov. If you happen to be chosen for the "Picture of the Month, there are no prizes to be received. Just the recognition and your photo placed within the "Photo of the Month" area for that month. And bragging rights to tell all of your friends that "Hey, my picture is on the homepage of the official website of the Commonwealth of Virginia".

Regulations:
Anything submitted that is offensive in nature will be removed. These rules also apply to those who abuse obvious copyright rules. By submitting your photographs for possible entry into the Photo's by You! area, you agree to allow it's possible usage in it's original form or manipulated form for the use of others, thereby constituting the image as copyright free and without restrictions.
