The Commonwealth Calendar is designed as a bulletin board for announcing official government meetings open to the public. Any organization that is planning a meeting open to the public may have its meeting listed by selecting the "Announce A Meeting" link below, providing a User ID and Password, and filling in the appropriate information fields.

The Search for Meeting(s) function defaults to a 1 week period, but will search any range of dates. To change the search range, just enter new dates in the exisiting date boxes.

NOTICE: not all state organizations post their public meetings on this list. If you do not see a meeting listed for the organization in which you are interested, please check the Virginia Register and/or contact that organization directly.

The second search box, labeled "any department," is in alphabetical order by official name. The first search box, labeled "any," is subcategories entered by the agencies and may not be consistent. It is easier to locate meetings of a specific agency by selecting its name in one of the two search boxes but not both at the same time.

To protect the integrity of this process, a User ID and Password are required. If your organization wants to take advantage of this service, please send us a letter on agency stationery listing the individual(s) authorized to post meetings, or use our prepared letter printed on agency stationery.
