I wish to pass on information about some good online quizzes and tests prepared by Rob Rumppe and Bill Towne of Minneapolis Public Schools. The name of the page is: "Minnesota Basic Skills Test in Mathematics Page." Good practical math is presented in test #1 that could be used by middle school students and others. The test emphasizes estimation and the ones that I saw, were practical
word problems. When you take the test, your score is continually displayed at the top for test 1. This test gives you excellent feedback. Some of the questions let you use calculator and others do not.

Recommend middle school teachers, home schoolers and GED teachers use this test for skills practice.

You can reach this site by using the following address:

It takes a while to load, so be patient.

To Loyd Epperly:

Thank you for sharing this resource. You may want to re-post it under a math-related title so that more people can access it.

We appreciate the time you took to pass this along.
