I'm working on creating a tutorial model for current 9th grade students who did not achieve a passing score on the 8th grade English test(s). I am a reading specialist and have already designed a high school tutorial model designed to help students who are struggling with reading and with study strategies in their content area classes. I am looking for ideas about components to add to my current model so that it will be effective in helping these students to achieve passing scores by the time they take the 11th grade English tests.
