Department of Forestry Campaign Enterprise Email Solution
Overview:
The Department of Forestry began using Virginia Interactive’s enterprise solution, Campaign Enterprise email software, in September 2006 for their electronic mailing service needs.
Description:
Campaign Enterprise email marketing software is the #1 choice by thousands of organizations. Subscribers and potential email subscribers can be assured that the Department of Forestry uses best practices in email and consumers can subscribe/unsubscribe to the sender's email list with confidence. Campaign Enterprise tracks and reports email opens and click-throughs, so the Department of Forestry knows who is actively engaging in their newsletters. The Department of Forestry is provided with real-time statistics, such as: who opened the email; what links were click on and by whom; what emailed addresses bounced and who subscribes and unsubscribes. Along with the Campaign Enterprise email solution, Virginia Interactive has provided the Department of Forestry with Habeas Email Trust Service Certification, which means that emails are guaranteed not to be mistaken for spam and emails receive the “VIP” treatment.
Benefits:
- Time
Quicker, easier distribution - Campaign Enterprise delivers a wealth of organization and navigation features that help the Department of Forestry get more done in less time.
- Money
Reduces production and mailing costs. - The Department of Forestry does not have to incur additional resource time or postage expenses when using Campaign Enterprise. As of January 2009, the Department of Forestry sent out a total of 26 electronic newsletters to over 600 subscribers. Examples of savings: If just one newsletter were mailed via the U.S. Postal Service at .42 cents apiece to 600 subscribers, it would be a cost savings of $252.00. For the Department of Forestry to mail all 26 newsletters at .42 cents apiece to 600 subscribers, the savings total $6,552.00. By not having to mail just one newsletter to 600 subscribers, three hours of resource time is saved x $ 18.85/hr (National Average) = $56.55. If you multiply that by 26 newsletters, $1,470.30 is eliminated in resource savings.
- “Green”
Saves Paper - Most people don’t like the idea of trees being cut down for worthless paper, and aren't happy when they have a mailbox full of useless mail. Estimate of paper saved by the Department of Forestry so far: 26 mailings x 600 pages (each newsletter is at least one page) = 15,600 pieces of paper saved or the equivalent of two (2) trees spared!
