Stafford County began using CrownPeak’s Content Management System (CMS) through a partnership with Virginia.gov in 2004.

Description:

A content management system (or commonly known as “CMS”) is a computer application used to create, edit, manage, search and publish various kinds of digital media and electronic text. A CMS is frequently used for storing, controlling, versioning, and publishing specific documentation such as news articles, operators' manuals, technical manuals, sales guides, and marketing brochures. The content managed may include computer files, image media, audio files, video files, electronic documents, and Web content.

CrownPeak is an established, highly experienced company who has created a hosted web publishing solution specifically for Local, State and Federal Government. Stafford County chose CrownPeak to offer total control over their website via one complete solution to improve its publishing speed and content integrity.

  Efficient and Easy to Use!  Stafford County’s website currently contains approximately 14,500 pages which include HTML, PDFs and images. Stafford County’s Webmaster used to devote an entire day to manage content and CrownPeak’s CMS solution has literally cut that time in half so she can focus on other IT projects.  CrownPeak also trained non-IT staff to serve as back up to the Webmaster and they can also easily create, manage, edit and publish content as well.
